Effective immediatelyLune ("we", "our", or "the App") is a privacy-first women's health and body-rhythm companion: cycle tracking, mood and symptom logging, a lunar calendar with live moon phases, and Lumi — a gentle virtual companion that grows with you. This policy explains, in plain language, what data Lune handles and the choices you have.
Lune is built on a local-first, privacy-first foundation.
Period start/end dates, flow notes, daily mood, energy, symptoms, sleep notes, and anything else you log lives only in the app's on-device database. Clearing app data or uninstalling Lune permanently deletes it — we hold no copy, because you never sent us one.
If you choose to enable local weather, Lune requests your approximate location only while the app is in use, to fetch the current weather that gently colors Lumi's mood. The coordinates are used once for that request and are never stored on any server of ours and never linked to your health records. You can decline location permission and use every other feature of Lune.
If — and only if — you explicitly enable Apple Health sync, Lune exchanges only the data types you select (such as cycle, sleep, and heart-rate trends) directly with the HealthKit store on your device. This exchange happens locally on your device. You can disconnect it at any time in Lune's settings or in the Health app.
Cycle reminders and gentle check-ins are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push service, no tokens, no servers.
Lune Plus subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store. We never see, handle, or store your card number, Apple ID, or any payment details.

Lune Plus (monthly, yearly, and lifetime options) is billed through Apple's App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically through Apple unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings at any time.
Lune is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because Lune collects no personal data from anyone, no child data is ever transmitted to us.

Because Lune does not collect or store your personal data on any server, your rights under GDPR, CCPA, and similar frameworks are honored by design: you already hold all of your data. Access, correct, port, or delete it at any time using the in-app export and erase tools.

Entirely on your device. Lune has no servers, no cloud sync and no accounts. If you delete the app, your data is gone — so use Settings → Export my data before switching phones.
Subscriptions and purchases are tied to your Apple ID. On your new device, open Lune → Settings → Lune Plus → Restore Purchases, or simply sign in with the same Apple ID and the app will restore automatically.
On your iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Lune → Cancel Subscription. You keep Lune Plus until the end of the current billing period.
Yes. Notifications, location and Apple Health are all optional. Core cycle tracking works with zero permissions granted.
Predictions are statistical estimates from the data you enter. Cycles naturally vary — stress, travel and health all play a role. The more you log, the better Lune learns your rhythm. (And remember: Lune is not a medical device.)
Settings → Erase my data. This permanently removes everything Lune has stored on your device. Uninstalling the app has the same effect.

Lune is a women's health and body-rhythm companion offering cycle tracking, mood and symptom logging, a lunar calendar with moon phases, and the Lumi virtual companion. Lune is provided for personal, non-commercial use.
Lune requires no account and collects no personal identity data. All content you create is stored locally on your device. You are solely responsible for backing it up (Settings → Export my data). If you delete the App or erase its data without exporting, your data cannot be recovered — by us or anyone else.
Lune is a wellness and lifestyle tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Predictions (including cycle and fertility estimates) are statistical estimates based on the data you enter and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not rely on Lune for contraception, pregnancy decisions, or any medical purpose. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical questions.
You agree not to misuse the App: no attempting to reverse-engineer it except as permitted by law, no renting or reselling it, and no using it in ways that violate applicable laws.
Optional features rely on third parties: local weather from Open-Meteo (approximate location only), and optional Apple Health sync governed by Apple's terms. Their availability is not guaranteed and may change.
Lune is intended for users 13 years or older. Users under 18 should use the App with a guardian's consent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, of any age.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Lune team is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data stored on your device. Your exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the App and, for purchases, to seek a refund through the App Store.
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be noted with an updated date above and in App Store release notes. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
